Mission work is an especially strong part of New Horizon.  Since the beginning of our church we have felt that reaching out to others is an essential part of the Gospel.  Some examples of our mission work:

We made a second mission trip to New Orleans in October 2011 to work on homes damaged by hurricane Katrina.

The picture below is of the owner of one of the homes we worked on in New Orleans. You can listen to some audio of his experiences during Hurricane Katrina by using the audio player below the picture.

In July 2011 Jim Bradford went to Haiti and worked in the community of Banique. We are planning to send a group back to Haiti.

In July of 2008 we went to Greensburg Kansas where we worked on homes damaged or destroyed by the huge tornado that devastated the town.

During spring break of 2007 we went to Ocean Springs Mississippi where we worked on two homes damaged by hurricane Katrina.

We have sent mission teams to Honduras twice to help with construction projects.

We sent a team to Utuado Puerto Rico to help renovate an old school building.

New Horizon pioneered international mission work within the Oklahoma Methodist Conference by organizing the first Oklahoma mission trip to Bolivia.  This led to the founding of the Volunteers in Mission office of the conference.

New Horizon is involved in many local missions.  We founded the Woodward County Toy Giveaway over 20 years ago with the goal of providing Christmas presents to every under privileged child in our county.

Our annual blood drive.
